But scanning at this rate does not necessarily make the brightness of one frame different from the brightness of another frame. Thus, when several types of frames are scanned, the change in brightness level after each frame is scanned creates a problem for the eyes of the obserber, by filtering this effect.

The interval between horizontal scanning lines is called horizontal scanning and this interval is called horizontal scanning period. The interval between vertical scanning lines is called vertical scanning period and this interval is called vertical scanning period. As shown in Fig . It is 2.5 to 3 times the horizontal interval.
